Founded on a dream of creating a supportive environment for women in the legal profession while providing exceptional family law services, our firm has grown leaps and bounds since its inception. Today, we’re thrilled to share a momentous achievement that reflects our commitment to our clients, our team, and our community.

I wanted to establish a boutique family law firm and, in doing so, create a work environment for women that was flexible, understanding, and allowed us to continue our careers in law without sacrificing family or extracurricular commitments. All this, whilst achieving the very best results for our clients.

In January 2021, that dream came to life when I established The Family Law Co.

With hard work and absolute dedication to our clients, we have grown to an all-female team of five family lawyers, with a presence in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, and Narrabri New South Wales.

Since establishment, our firm has assisted over 500 clients (!!) to resolve their family law matters with dignity, aiming to achieve a fair resolution as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.

Today, I am excited to share with my LinkedIn family that our team’s dedication to our clients and to each other has been recognised, with The Family Law Co. being named as a finalist in the 2023 Australian Women’s Small Business Champion Awards.

These awards support and recognise small businesses owned by women across Australia. They offer a unique opportunity to highlight Australia’s most outstanding small businesses and recognise the hard work that women business owners contribute to the local community in generating employment for millions of Australians, as well as their commitment to the Australian economy. With over 2,500 entrants this year, to be named as a finalist is a huge thrill for me personally, and for our team.
